Adoption Requirements

What are your requirements for adoption?

The only pre-set restrictions for adoption through our agency are that you have been married for at least 3 years and that you live in one of the 11 California counties in which we are licensed: Fresno, Inyo, Kern, Kings, Madera, Mariposa, Merced, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Stanislaus and Tulare.

Age, race, religion, and income are not pre-set restrictions. We welcome a diversity of ages, races and religions to meet the needs of birth parents and waiting children. Although a stay-at-home parent can be very desirable, it is certainly not a requirement at IPAS.

The only absolute requirement is that you are sincere in building your family through adoption and that you are capable of creating a loving and stable environment for a child.
